Release Notes - September 2020 - BidJS

We know we've been a little quiet on releases recently, but that's because we have an exciting major update on the horizon. You may have heard about BidJS V4 already, but just in case, here's the lowdown: We're focusing our main effort on revamping both the look, experience and performance of our Timed Auctions having had great success with the recent overhaul of our Webcast Auctions. As part of this work we invited you all to be part of a feedback programme that allowed us to really understand more about what you wanted to see and we can't wait to share the results with you. For now, let's look at some of the more minor changes coming at the beginning of September.

Improvements
We had a few reports from our users that they were seeing a timeout error when trying to access the My Sales page. We've now made a change that should allow these pages should be load without tripping out.

For our image API users (such as AssetFlow users), we've made improvements to the mechanism that allows pictures to transfer into Bidlogix. This has included ideas such as automatic retries and a more stable connection, which will vastly reduce errors in this process.

Finally for improvements, we have changed the tab label for many pages of the Admin that were displaying our company name. Changing this to more generic content should allow our white label clients a little more peace of mind that our company name is less visible.

New Additions
As we are growing, we welcome more diverse clients on-board. As such, we're introducing three new currencies to our system:
- Turkish Lira
- Saudi Arabian Riyals
- Zimbabwe Dollars.
The method that we use ensures the currencies are displayed best in regards to the locale of the browser i.e. if you are accessing the site from Europe, the currency symbols will be displayed as per the European standard.
